tell me what NDU is like?
i heard alot of damn xiong stuffs within
can anyone educate me more on it? -
NDU = Naval Diving Unit.
Does, underwater demolition, ship boarding etc. Almost equivalent to US NAVY SEALs minus beach recon i think.
NDU can also be = Those guys who can't swim and would sink when thrown into a pool. (Don't look at me, this is what my specs called the non-swimmers during BMT) -
there is hell week
which is touted as the worst part of NDU training
the rest of the training is pretty much to equip u with the knowledge u need to get the work done and to get u into superb shape to come home alive -
and u cant see MO or wat during hell week... if not u will be outta....

My camp used to be with NDU in sembawang camp, every morning see people jogging and sprinting, very siong, but you'll be in very good shape when you come out

do some questionaire...think got 5 sets...den after tat...go for medical checkup..check ure hearing ability...lung power..eyesight..blood...etc etc...den will go to a dive chamber where u n a grp of ppl will squeeze inside it..n the technician will increase the pressure where it will like goin down 10 metres down the sea...den after tat...go for a swim...idea is to see ure confident in the water...den after tat..go do pull up...den last but not least..go for the interview...Originally posted by babusai:yah lah

PS..if u drive or ride, i suggest u dun do it on tat day..coz once u reach cmpb, there will be a bus to bring u over to sembawang..n will not bring u back..u will haf to go all the way to retrieve ure vehicles..so dun drive or ride... -

Do check out the book "The Night Raiders" by Samuel Katz on these superb naval commandos. Put a bunch of these mean mothers together in a room and you can pump up testosterones in a eunuch!! -

I have the impression they (1 swim buddy) hold the compass board while swimming, then while they're on land, they hang it somewhere by a lanyard. I think somewhere near the waist.
