Singapore, like many Oriental cultures, provides soldiers with a near fanatical willingness to carry out orders. They are modern, progressive, and have a perception of being isolated and vulnerable- this always drives up the competency of an Army. They are fairly well equipped, have had Israeli advisors, UK, and Australian trainers, and have exercised with Australian troops and are considered quite competent. Nonetheless, there are other nations which may be more deserving of the No. 10 spot, but I went with Singapore because I am more certain of them than with other contenders, such as:
Japan
Spain (You gotta consider a nation with a unit who's motto is "Long Live Death")
Austria, Switzerland (Either one, as long as they stay on their own turf- not for nothing do both nations always place well in international biathlon- shooting and skiing- events)
