U need not really have to serve up to the 10th year, as long as u fulfill the 5 years Minimum Term of Engagement, u can leave anytime u want, juz submit three months paper notice in advance will do.
Of course, u will not enjoy the benefit of Premium Plan as there is a lum sum of cash to reward ppl for their ten year engagement which is about $25,000 to $35,000 depending on what's your last draw salary.
Even if u sign up wif the Police, u still need to serve at least 5 yr MTE.
