Handphones with camera

Hi,
Thank you for reading this post. I am a "reservist". During my last ICT last year, the "camera-phone" just came to Singapore.
At that time, the handphone with camera features are banned from the camp.
Is this rule still unchanged. Going for my next ICT and wanted to buy a new cellphone. -
from wad i heard is still ban for cam hp in camp.......

It's about security. I don't see how MSD is going to authorize the camera phone.
But camera phone will be more ubiquitous in future. This is the problem. -

I believe all HPs with cameras are ban in all facilities listed under the Area Protection Act( forgot the exact term ) .
e.g Jurong Island is protected under that act and we are repeatedly told not to bring our Cam-HP there , for my sch is going there on Friday. A close relative of my is working for the government and they are not allow to bring Cam-HP to certain sectors of the building he is working in. -

One day, all the handphones are going to have cameras. I wonder how is the SAF going to enforce the ban...
I heard that PDAs are banned too..!!

U can persuade ur teacher to bring u there , but there is a procedure to take. A number of official forms have to be signed by the sch and by individual student . I have to sign 3 forms , a security clearance form , a consent form , a SARS form. U have to pay a dollar too for the security pass and that doesnt mean overall u allow to enter . That of course means that ur security clearance dun allow u to enter........ -
Hmmm...with the 'RJC Video PDA' controversy still raging...i wonder if MOE will enforce a similar ban

think the term is image capturing devices. guess they were right to use such terms to make their point w/o naming the exact devices capable of doing so.
