All support formations wear blue la, whether artillery or combat engin, though both are combat formations as well.

Coz there's a lot of type of units that uses it.
The RP, Medics, Arty, Logistics, Engineers, Drivers
All of them don the Blur Beret, so they actually form a very big part of the army. -

basically, for RP and medics, they will wear whatever beret their unit wear but their default is blue cos they are considered support arms. RP protect camps and medics saves troops, both are not directly involved in battle.
RP roots from MP (to maintain the discipline, in camps and the entire SAF respectively) While for the medics, they are traditionally Blue Berets, but for platoon medics, u dun expect to see a blue in the midest of all green, right? That way the enemy will know who to kill first .Althou the armband also sets them apart, at least its not to obvious. -

think of platoon formation or during medic cover.

think of platoon formation or during medic cover. Think of times necessary for a medic to get into the midest of the main troop either for parade or for formation purpose.

Your last reply was about blue in the midst of green during the firefight, I suppose (you wrote who to kill first)? What platoon formation? Everyone wears helmet mah.

medics' berets depends on the colour of the unit they are posted to
engr medic : blue
infantry medic : green
unless they are in HQ, then it's blue? -
Armor is black. If you have artillery in armor formation, then black lor.

I think we need a proper list to tell what service/vocation is what coloured beret

You want can produce a list of SAF ORBAT here .. then write what color for each unit. -
