hmmm..u seem to know something that we don't?Originally posted by tankee1981:One thing is for sure the SAF will constantly look for new ways to upgrade their existing capability and at the same time acquire new technology. I have seen for myself many new secret projects which i will not elaborate further due to security concerns. I think that sending men to Isarel to train is not impossible as SAF already send a lot to many different countries world-wide. So in my opinion, we should keep an open mind about getting the Merkeva MBT.![]()
*ahem* a few forumers do work for the SAF....wont be surprised if they were working for the ISDOriginally posted by +Alucard+:I think we should follow typhoon advise. Wont be surprise if MSD is watching this channel and tracking every individuals in here. haha![]()

When ST Kinetics was taking part in the US army tender, the bionix variant it was proposing had a real low profile...Originally posted by tankee1981:I personally feel the the BX is a very capable vehicle, the only problem is that it is a bit on the heavy side and needs quite a lot of preparations before conducting river-crossing operations as compared to the M113, that it is mean to replace. I feel that the BX chasis is a bit to high! Such a high profile when mounted with a 105mm gun will present quite a big target to the enemy. Unless the ST people modify this, otherwise i don't think the BX is very suitable as a platform for the new 105mm tank.![]()

An Infantry Fighting Vehicle without suspension ?Originally posted by IAF:When ST Kinetics was taking part in the US army tender, the bionix variant it was proposing had a real low profile...
Did this one have any suspension?
true... i saw an article n a video on the BX tat was offered to the US... the appearance looked slightly different n the turret was totally diff from the ones SAF is using...Originally posted by Atobe:An Infantry Fighting Vehicle without suspension ?
I remembered reading an article that reported the BIONIX offered to the US was a specially redesigned unit to accomodate the bigger body size Americans, with suspension totally reconfigured to allow entry into the Heavy Lift Aircraft.
41SAR used to be a tank battlion the other time... but now the present batch which is goin to ORD soon is actually a AI battlion...Originally posted by +Alucard+:I also dunno the project. i juz wondering if tankie1981 heard abt it. the only thing i noe is last intake 41sar is a tank battilion which men more tanks than m113.
The version offered to the US was lighter - it had most of its passive aplique armour removed. The turret was replaced by an overhead remote weapons station. That is why it looked different. I'm quite sure the armour guys have seen the BX "naked" without its add-on armour.Originally posted by GHoST_18:true... i saw an article n a video on the BX tat was offered to the US... the appearance looked slightly different n the turret was totally diff from the ones SAF is using...![]()
