tengah? i do believe its surrounded either by farms or camps. blocks having a view of the runway? i think no one would want their house to be tt close to an airbase! and rsaf wont allow tt too.Originally posted by IAF:Viper = F-16
Btw, in one of the news reports, an eyewitness said he saw, from his flat in teck whye, skyhawks scrambling and taking off. Anyone knows which block gives a good vantage view of tengah's runway?

How does the RSAF AWACS co-ordinate with the CAAS Control at Changi Airport ?
It is amazing that from the ST News Report, the Skyhawks were scrambled after the light plane was detected circling around the "NORTH-EAST" part of Singapore, above Tengah Air Base.
Firstly, someone at ST must have got his sense of geography pathetically messed up, as Tengah Air Base is at North-West of Singapore.
Secondly, if the Skyhawks were scrambled, only when light plane was detected [b]after 30 minutes of circling over Tengah Air Base - (as it seems that the pilot was working hard to manually lower his landing gears) - then the security over the Singapore sky is totally ridiculous during this period of supposedly heightened security.
