The evacuation of SAF personnel and equipment has always been news whenever the prospects of war is heightened between China and Taiwan.
The likelihood of war between China and Taiwan seems to take on a regular cycle every 18 months or so, since 1985.
The article concerning China offering Singapore training facilities on Hainan Island is not new either, as it was printed some time during the second half of 2002. -
