why so interested? want to sign on huh? here's a tip: study first hor...
ok, what the 'guy' goes thru depends on whether he signs on as WOSE or officer... the only specialised course that 'he' must complete before becoming a member of the Guards family is the conversion course i.e. GOCC for officer and GSCC for Specialist. All the other courses like BMT, OCC, SLC etc are common to all Regulars e.g. Infantry, Armour, Cdos etc. other vocations e.g. snipers, recce etc will go thru their own courses...
so, after bmt, sispec/ocs, the Gds regular will go thru a conversion course with either 1 or 3 gds. Both types of gds conversion course will include rappeling ('live' helo rappel), coastal swim and 10km run test. after conversion, the 'guy' will go thru the normal rotation of Ops, Staff and Instructor tours of duty (usually 2 years each and can be in any order).
PM me if you want to know more
