Im quite surprised that our new frigates don't seem to be fitted with CIWS for pinot-defense against any stray missiles which may evade our anti-missile missiles.Granted, it has been said that if a missile can come this close to our ship, a direct hit is a guarantee..howver, the presence of a gun system CIWS could mititgate the damage by shredding it three to four kilometers out. What are your views?Personally, i would feel safer knowing that our navy has Phalanx CIWS fitted in our ships.
Phalanx, that's the radar-guided cannon yes? And what's RAM? Is it a replacement for phalanx?
