  The A-4 was officially named the Skyhawk but the pilots that flew it nicknamed it "Scooter" due to it's small size and excellent maneuverability.

  by the way, i noticed that the decal sheet has the name as Singapore Scooters... i thot the A4s are known as Skyhawks or Super Skyhawks. what's up with "Scooters"? it sounds too tame ala Vespa Scooters?

  @lpha, theres only the Hasegawa "A-4SU" kit for now, but you might want to wait for the Horizon ModelTech conversion set, get the decals and a Hasegawa A-4C or A-4L kit to convert. Slightly more expensive, but should almost certainly be a more accurate way out
  
  Duotiga is right, the A-4 family is nicknamed the Scooter, not the most macho nickname I know, but a suitable and affectionate one considering the A-4's attributes.

  Thanks Vip, any idea what's wrong with the Hasegawa kit? i need to get the set b4 xmaz cos it's a gift. will the Horizon ModelTech conversion set be available on time and how much will it cost? also, does this mean i need to buy 3 items? i.e. decal sheet, conversion kit and a Hasegawa A-4C or A-4L kit?
