MOLLE Vest in East Timor peacekeeping

I'm glad that the SAF is using the MOLLE vest for the peacekeeping mission in East Timor.
From the look of the vest, I guess that it is a locally designed vest and made in Taiwan.
MOLLE(Modular Lightweight Load Carrying Equipment) is a US Army and Marine program.

I think it is another case of the SAF Finance Officers who got themselves items sold from the highest bidders. I heard that one of the MOLLE vest cost $1000 each. Even if you bought the vest from the US with all the pouches plus the cost of shipping one of those vest should not cost that much.
As for Lightfighter Tactical, their policy is that of not selling or shipping anything to Singapore because someone refused to pay for a large purchase and he was unable to recover the money. My advice is that take a look but look for someone else on the net to buy from.

I was wondering why the SAF issued different webbing for the peacekeeping force.
I remember that they were using the USGI LBV before the Molle vest and the Alice pack ? Is the issued webbing not up to par for real world conflict ? -

I would prefer that they change the fullpack to a PLCE style pack rather than a civilian like designed pack for military use.
