Hey, I just a kiasu sporean la. Better safe than sorry. Dont want to dispute what is secret and what is not. You decide la. So many things to say everyday, dont have to talk about SAF codes, right? No relevance to everyday tan jiat. Why bother...I will just observe what else this thread yields as a silent participant from now onwards.

i want to know wat a mob exercise is like.
i want to know if malaysia/indonesia/brunei/phillipines 1 day get cocky put 10 battle ship block malaysian straits what are we suppose to do.
why is that so hard? -

aggression dont come overnight. there would have been events leading up to it, and all parties would have used diplomatic means to settle them.
if this looks like its going to fail, den i guess its a matter of time b4 each party slowly builds up the military readiness - and this, sadly, leads to an escalation.
imo, singapore would try to be on top of things at all times - to be on the giving end rather than the receiving end. wif a just cause, we may want to move out b4 the enemy does.
tt said if they manage to do so b4 us, we will definitely react to regain control of vital sea and air lanes - wich we rely on for our survival.
if we cannot gain control of these, we will have to move into somewhere else where we can sustain longer.
the thing is we can never allow ourselves to be enclosed into the physical land space of our country and lose our influence over the sea and the air. if tt happens its a matter of time b4 we have to give up - either due to starvation of resources, or being overrun.

hm.. i think it suffices to noe tt like all other countries, our operational units have codenames assigned to them for the ease of mob and security. these codenames are usually consist of 2 english words, and these can really be any words in the dictionary, e.g. big dick, or suck cock. (o cos they wont choose such code words for fear of inflaming our own citizens and the ppl belonging to the units. these are jus wild examples.Originally posted by nismoS132:thanks for your info.

oh and if im not wrong, the words for the code names are never used twice, i.e. if the code name of one unit is hairy legs, these 2 words will never appear in the code names of any other units, to minimise ambuiguity.

The codes are no secret. In fact, your family members are supposed to know them, that's why they give you the code sticker to paste on the TV. Saying that, perhaps you can visit 100 homes. A mob exercise, I think most of the time is just sign name. Sometimes must draw weapon,ration etc.

Again, the reason why we have the code is so that when its announced on TV, no one other than those associated with the code name know they are being activated. You see *your* code, you know you are being activated, but no one else not associated with the code knows who/what is being activated. Thats the point of the code, and nismo's questions and answers he require does not compromise that system

Can roughly guess la. If you know where (the camp) those Nsmen congregate during a mob, you can link the code with the divison or brigade liao.
