i see i see.. i also have the interest in military life.. i was from the NCC back in sec sch and poly days.. but have been receiving negative feedback from the ppl around mi... saying that it's a totalli diff lifestyle... and also there's a few years bond to sign as well.. etc etc..Originally posted by NathanG5:oic...
military life is quite routine lor..almost everyday u will be doing the same thing..year by year..but for regulars they got tour of duty..change of working enviroment every few years..
but i love military life...right wuming?
its more to interest..
i feel more alive in my NS years..
hm.. dxo's work involves the military. so if u r interested in the military life den it may not be wat u wan. unless u r interested in working for the military as well. and do remember tt even in the military, they haf ppl working in HR, finance, corp comms and all the other std stuff. so u may not end up doing wat u wan to do. so better find out b4 u commit.Originally posted by Fa||en~Ange|:i see i see.. i also have the interest in military life.. i was from the NCC back in sec sch and poly days.. but have been receiving negative feedback from the ppl around mi... saying that it's a totalli diff lifestyle... and also there's a few years bond to sign as well.. etc etc..
so do u think it'll be a better idea if i applied for one of the DXO positions instead? that way.. i can be somehow.. part of the military life.. and yet.. not be tied down..![]()
well. most work involves routine of some kind - jus how frequent there r changes. yes, in saf the good thing is the frequent change in tours. tt is equivalent to rotation amongst departments.Originally posted by NathanG5:oic...

even if REALLY interested, also cannot just BLINDLY SIGN..Originally posted by kopiosatu:why listen to what people say if you're REALLY interested?
if u are gonna sign on for money... CONFIRM plus CHOP and GUARANTEE, you'll hate the life there no matter how senang it is
like i said. if you're REALLY interested... there isn't any other factors. I'm sure you must be thinking if the money is worth it... if that's the case, don't sign.Originally posted by Fa||en~Ange|:even if REALLY interested, also cannot just BLINDLY SIGN..and by the way, precisely becos i am REALLY interested.. that's y i need to take into consideration all the surrounding factors..
and weigh my options as well.. this isnt a short term career option..

i think we all noe wat u r espousing. but to consider seriously before one goes into a profession is fine and should in fact be done, esp when one intends to go for the long term.Originally posted by kopiosatu:oh fine, nobody is listening to the regular

sometimes, circumstances are such tt u wil not be able to do something wich u r deeply passionate about for ur whole life. this is sad, but true. our careers are not jus abt passion, but oso abt whether one has a future in it, and o cos, if one can support oneself and his/her families by doing it. tt is the reality.
in the end the decision lies in her.
i appreciate your KIND ADVICE. to a certain degree, i agree that $$ is part of my considerations, however, it is NOT the SOLE factor.Originally posted by kopiosatu:like i said. if you're REALLY interested... there isn't any other factors.
