Which part of Melbourne did/do you stay in? My pad used to be in Southbank (next to Crown...good thing I'm not a habitual gambler) then I moved to Little Lonsdale St in the city (great view of Port Philip Bay) -

Yea, those are not the cheapest places to live in Melbourne (though I can think of more expensive ones!). No choice, my campus is out on the west side of Melbourne...its difficult enough to get there from the city without a car, nevermind trying to get there from Hawthorn, Doncaster et al

Glad to know some other singaporean who have live in melbourne before...being living there from 2000-2003. Has being suspecting Viper52 to have being living in melbourne for sometimes from ur previous posting mentioning (technical bookshop).

Welcome sleeping! Yes I did talk about the speciality bookshops in Melbourne (and I don't mean those with the Red X at the sign
), kind of a giveaway about where I've been the past few years huh? How did you like the Worlds Most Liveable City?
Gedanken, no I was not studying at Footscray (the wet market there was really something else though!), my campus was at Port Melbourne, right under the shadow of the West Gate and incidentally across the Yarra from Footscray.
I get very industrial views, and HUGE container ships sailing by 200m from me everyday while there, but there was something wonderful about the sights there! -
Speaking of institutions like that, I was always amused by the Batman Automotive College!
