From The Straits Times, Jan 5, 2004:"A MULTI-AGENCY emergency exercise, simulating a chemical incident, will be conducted at Raffles Place MRT station next Sunday (Jan 11) from 9am to 12 noon.
Trains will not stop at the station but free feeder bus services will
connect it with City Hall, Tanjong Pagar and Marina Bay stations.
From 7am to 1.30pm, Malacca Street and D'Almeida Street will be closed, along with one lane of both Battery Road and Market Street."[/b]
Hi,
This isn't a military event but those of you who like fire engines and ambulances might find it worthwhile lurking in the vicinity of the above mentioned roads this Sunday from 0830hrs.
Command post vehicles from various organisations should be there and you can expect to see vehicles from Police Special Operations Command too.
