Just like to raise a different topic.
Many years ago, I happen to come by an army/military orders magazine and I read about special camo nets used by the US military that enables entire command centers to be protected such that infra red, sound etc plus other EM radiation are absorbed.
I thot it was very cool idea given the fact that the camo nets that I have come in contact with are totally old and useless - can't even break the shape of the vehicles.
Any body read anything similar? can't seem to find it on the web.
The relevance of this seems importance given that most of the other technological counterparts in airforce and navy are going stealth but our regular land forces still can give the whole game away.
camo nets, if not too worn out and if done properly, does great in breaking up the shape of man-made things, especially from overhead detection.
o cos we cannot expect saf to give us brand new nets during peacetime trg rite?
