btw, making bombs? u mean water bombs? we dun make bombs lah. and we dun PLAY wif rifle. firearms r not meant to be fiddled with. as for u wanting to try, well, u can always attend the army open houses, visits to tekong, etc. dun think u wil wanna venture into signing on.

Actually it depends on ur vocation. The Combat Engineers do conduct basic explosives course for certain units. Ranging from flammable firebombs for vehicle ambushes to C4 based explosives. MP are not that scary la..just dont do the wrong things can liao.....i'm a MP myself....ya and i'm part of the circus acrobatics...but it's call Silent precision drill squad la....spinning rifles is very sian if u do it everyday...

Anyway if i am not wrong MP also have many different type, my cousin was one in NS, he was acting like traffic police like job, catch people speeding and such, ride motorbike around.
Well certain MP do periodic checks on various units, basically make trouble for people, once MP came to check our camps for drugs, bring their dogs, the dogs drool all over the place and one actually placed it's head into my friend's bag, and drool in it.
NS is no fun, basically the laws in Army are purposely written very vague. Like anything can get charge if they feel like it. Also playing with guns is no fun, big responsiblity like if lose part then mean jailing, and weapons do have small parts and they can get lost easy especially in forest.
Another thing is that weapons are heavy, you won't like carry 3kg thing around all day with the strap around your neck, can't even put the weapons around and even resting have to keep an eye on it. Some stupid officers like to take your weapons and say u never take care of it and there goes your weekend.
