Asian Aerospace 2004 continues to receive strong support from the aerospace industry, including 70 of the top 100 aerospace companies around the world.
Highlights at Asian Aerospace 2004 Leading the show is the special technology feature of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV), with the spotlight on European Aeronautics Defence Space Company's (EADS) and Israel Aircraft Industries (IAI)-Malat UAV System, Eagle taking to the skies in the much-anticipated UAV flying demonstration. This will be the first time that a UAV is staging a flying demonstration at an international air show.
Visitors will also be able to get up close and personal to the latest UAV mock-ups which are in Asia for the first time. Some of these include Northrop Grumman's Global Hawk and Fire Scout, and Singapore Technologies Dynamics' Fantail.
At the first ever UAV Pavilion led by the Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI), international manufacturers such as Northrop Grumman, Elbit, Israel Aircraft Industries and Bell Helicopter will be unveiling an array of fascinating unmanned aviation technologies. AUVSI is the world's largest non-profit organisation devoted exclusively to advancing the unmanned systems community.
Of great interest to the civil aviation industry will be the illustrious panel of speakers confirmed for the inaugural International Air Transport Association (IATA)/Asian Aerospace Aviation Summit. Leading the summit is Singapore's Senior Minister, Mr Lee Kuan Yew, who will be the Guest-of-Honour and Distinguished Speaker.
Returning to the show to much anticipation will be the aerobatics flying display. The flamboyant Suryakiran, a world-class full-time formation aerobatics team from the Indian Air Force, will be making its first international debut at a world-class air show. One of the world's three nine-aircraft aerobatics teams, the Surykiran, meaning "Ray of Light", will feature some of its top fighter pilots flaunting the capabilities of the Kiran MK II aircraft. In addition, the Sarang Helicopter Display Team, also from the Indian Air Force, will be making its first international appearance performing with its fleet of Dhruv Advanced Light Helicopters.
