heard that nowadays, they r more forcus on training n less harassment. no turnouts in the nights, unless offically approved, n at least 7 hrs of sleep. no more gpmg n thunder-flash as alarm clock..Originally posted by Gedanken:Well for the parts about being selected, it's not really up to you, unless you sign on and ask to be assigned to CDO.
As for getting the beret, it's really a question of keeping up with the training and making sure you don't get downgraded.
Maybe one of the more recent members of the battalion could give you a description of how hard the training is these days. I believe the days of getting 500-plus FBO push-ups and 1400-plus scissors jumps are over, and of course the senior batches thought we had it easy.
hmm, wait a min, if you say you wanna sigh, you can ask to me asssign to whatever vocation you wanna be in one ah? as in if i wanna sigh can i asked to be assign to armament spec?Originally posted by Gedanken:Well for the parts about being selected, it's not really up to you, unless you sign on and ask to be assigned to CDO.

Heh heh. In my batch (5 years ago), there were still occasional turnouts in the night, and I remember getting a maximum of 4.5 hours of sleep every night (and it was very often less than that).Originally posted by lion02:heard that nowadays, they r more forcus on training n less harassment. no turnouts in the nights, unless offically approved, n at least 7 hrs of sleep. no more gpmg n thunder-flash as alarm clock..
wonder if the tradition of bct turnout to changi beach still remains..
Hehe - did you get the old "reville tomorrow is at 0630" gag, and did they turn off the power? All the guys who got combination locks realised the folly of their ways at that moment! On your belly, on your back!Originally posted by lion02:heard that nowadays, they r more forcus on training n less harassment. no turnouts in the nights, unless offically approved, n at least 7 hrs of sleep. no more gpmg n thunder-flash as alarm clock..
