The two road entrances, the first from Changi Village and the other along Nicoll Drive, are jammed due to the tight security. Highly recommended if taking a bus to be prepared for a jam of over 1/2 hours.

Sunday will be a lousy day to go because many of the booths will be packing up. Moreover, during the public days, the brochures and the goodies would have been withdrawn or would have run out.
Besides, as I said earlier, after three days of walking around, the money pumped into publicity brochures must have suffered a cutback. -
For those going to AA by public transport, one way is to take the SBS shuttle bus from Singapore Expo. The pickup/drop-off point is next to the MRT station. The fare is $2 cash (no ezlink), and it includes the return trip to Expo from Changi. The bus takes approximately 20-25 mins each way. Expect to wait for a bit while the bus passes thru the security checkpoint.

woah, the come sat and sunday, can see the bad side of singaporeans. imagine one booth suddenly starts giving out collarpins. a whole mob of people rush and push to get it, without consideration of others in their way. some, after receiving the collar pins, would stick their hands out to ask for more. damnit. this is the only instance i'm really damned malu of our fellow singaporeans. what's more, the vast majority of the booths there would be manned by foreigners.

The exercise was meant to evaluate tactics, training and operational procedures. No senior officer from either country was willing to go on record on who scored most points. But some Indian pilots claimed the "kill ratio" was 4:1 in their favour.
Air Marshal Ajit Bhavnani, who is senior Air Staff Officer at the Central Air Command, was more tempered. He said the exercise concluded with "mutual respect for each othersÂ’ skills" and that it should not be viewed as a "boxing match".

Been to Nicoll Drive this morning. The aerial display was only an hour long, ended at 12:30 instead of 13:00 as it was announced.
The Indian team was not bad but the Indian team operating the ALH choppers did not make it's appearance. The B-1B was also not there.
Almost managed to enter the exhitbition as a kind couple agreed to give me their spare trade ticket. However I was barred from going in as I was wearing jeans! I wasn't thinking of going in in the first place anyway. -

Who they are: Low Jer Wei, 35, systems engineer; Sean Chua, 34, product designer; Philip Koh, 31, accounts manager.
What they do: These hardcore aviation addicts call themselves wingnutz, devour aviation magazines, meet at hobby shops on weekends and own hundreds of aeromodels. They've been to every Asian Aerospace show, or nearly all.
Which was the best?
Philip: 1994. The Russian Sukhoi aircraft did a very beautiful cobra-like manoeuvre. And the United States also showed off everything it had.
Sean: 2000 - the French aerobatic team was here.
How about this year?
Jer Wei: Disappointing. The Typhoon is only a mock-up. Langkawi's airshow last year had a longer aerial display and more stunts, planes flew closer to the ground.
Sean: Too little flying. Singapore should have contributed F-16s and Skyhawks since we are the hosts.
Why come on a trade day?
Sean: The exhibitors would have kept a lot of things from the public or gone home by this weekend. Trade days aren't so crowded and I want to take close-ups of the French Rafale and Mirage fighters for my research.
Which of the three fighters on Singapore's shortlist would you pick?
Philip: Boeing's F-15. It's more rugged.
Jer Wei: Rafale. It's proven in service with the French air force and navy.
Sean: The Typhoon, if I had to choose from the three, because it's a Generation 4 fighter with a seven-tonne payload. But I'd prefer Russia's Sukhoi Su-30 Flanker. Underrated, very rugged and pure titanium.
Any tips for airshow visitors?
Jer Wei: Use sun screen. Tour the static exhibits outside in the morning or evening. Cool down in the hall in the afternoon.
Sean: Don't drive. I parked in Tampines and took a bus here. Bring a hat, binoculars, digital camera and lots of water. Watch the aerial display from Changi Beach.
Philip: Don't bring your girlfriend.

I went. It really sucks. Dun keep ur hope up to high for those going on the weekends. Nothing to see. The static display was terrible. One F15, one F16, one Rafale, One Mirage2000. Lifesize mockups of the Gripen and Eurofighter.
Some interesting things like the stealth UAV from ST and the Primus (u can go in). Missed the flying display but not interested in that.
I did my business there and met the people i was suppose to met and left quickly. -

Actually there is another aircraft display area.. need to take a airport transport to another apron. There u see more F-15s, 2 B-1B bombers, an apache and a few other bigger planes..
Btw, B-1 did not fly today.. but they will be flying tomorrow (Sat).

when was it ever fantastic, i've only been inside in 90, 92, 94 on public days. since then i've given up going in unless got free trade tickets, this year i managed to get in but well the only consolation were the booth babes.Originally posted by koxinga:I went. if you are going to the show and you passby the aviation week booth, you might want to try ask if you can buy this week's issue on asian aerospace, alot of good stuff inside like
