basically the whole entire area a to d is a mosquitoes' colony and paradise - esp when we go there to be their prey voluntarily. and almost all cbt fit males would go to tt place at least once in their ns life. so theres no way to siam at all. unless saf fumigates the whole bloody place.Originally posted by cookiecutter:![]()

Had that too - dengue was even less fun than tetanus toxoid.Originally posted by cookiecutter:i think its terrible coz nowadays there are so many cases of dengue fever in the region and singapore.
y shud u be stingy on the repellent?!? at the expense of ur own suffering?Originally posted by pkchukiss:For me, I was only attacked once during my field camp (which was a miracle anyway because I was quite stingy on the SAF repellent). However, that scar on my right index finger is still there, three weeks after my field camp... Terrible!
The worst ones were the touch-me-nots... Proning into a bunch of them is not exactly my idea of fun... The repellent successfully drove the red ants away from my direction even when I am somewhere near their nest. I must be very lucky...
they issue all the time, from time to time. and even if not, u can always get them at emart.Originally posted by Groovee:the SAF insect repellant they issue all e time or isit a one-off thing? if its issued all e time den can 'buah gao gao' everywhere!dun say mosquito siam, ur platoon mate oso siam

lets see whether anyone can diagnose the bugs that have been biting my friend.
Its small, little red bumps. Don't really look like mosquito bites since they are not swollen, and look like pinheads.
His bites are pretty bad, got it all over his thighs and legs. He sleeps next to the window, Viper coy on the 5th floor. Do you think its bed bugs, sandflies.. or what?

neon: don't think he wants to make too much of a fuss.. but if it gets worse i think he better go to the NSC too...
I thought bed bug bites were pretty big.... but then again, none of his other bunk mates have got the bites/ as many bites.
If it's sandfly bites, I'm just wondering how they can fly up 5 floors!!!![]()
Quick.....USMS! Mai tu liao...Originally posted by cookiecutter:hehe thanks wuming~!
the view is darn nice from the blk- can see singapore, and the ocean etc. except for the bugs- sandflies supposedly transmit something called leishmania. if only the SAY allowed those electric bug killers.. the one where the light attracts it.. then ZAP!
SAF insect repellent is part of quarterly issue as far as I can remember. That also includes (per person) three rolls of toilet paper (for 4 mths; an average of 2-3 pieces a day...lolOriginally posted by Groovee:the SAF insect repellant they issue all e time or isit a one-off thing? if its issued all e time den can 'buah gao gao' everywhere!dun say mosquito siam, ur platoon mate oso siam
