yeap..govt can be re-elected...Originally posted by Gedanken:Sarkaudar, I seriously doubt that Singaporeans will fight specifically to keep the current government in place. However, in the event of war, the incumbent government will constitute the leadership of what amounts to Singaporeans' lives. They will not be fighting for the government, but will instead be fighting for their own lives and the lives of their loved ones. Hopefully that will be motivation enough for them to prevail.

there is..n its also the reason they are leaving..its money..Originally posted by Airborne Guards:I sincerely hope that things in this society will change... there is totally no spirit in ordinary Singaporeans i see around me... too much 'quitters'... too much people who cannot find reason for them to stay....
yes Ged its not always abt money..but most of the time n most of the people are thinking of money..Originally posted by Gedanken:Nathan, there are other reasons besides money - we've spoken a lot about it in Speaker's Corner already.
At the end of the day, money is only a short-term motivator. Give someone a raise, and research shows that after 3 weeks his performance will go back to pre-raise standards.
If anything, in times of war, money-making opportunities will diminish in most industries anyway, and if that's the only motivator for staying, people will just take what they have and head for the hills.
agree with ya on e attitude thingy. yea, i was talking abt e porno vcd incident. duno what in e world e principal was thinking sia...Originally posted by Airborne Guards:they like to say economy not good is an excuse to get more out from us citizens...
We dun need a main battle tank.... the problem facing us now is not NGF or new MBT... is Singaporean's attitude towards 'fighting'.
When i say fighting, i doesn't only mean combat but also refers to wad happens to their daily life. Anyway, without replacement for the SM1, the countries nearest to us also cannot outmatch out armour.
'The principal who called the police' incident u referring to the news where students get caught with porn??
