there was once i saw rafale flying out of PLAB... my house invery near PLAB... I always see strange a/c flying in/out of PLAB... for a few times i saw a jumbo that is painted like the KC 135 but looks like an M. Douglas because of another engine on the fin... wonder what plane is that and which airforce is it from.. .Originally posted by fkh:When I was in Geylang in Thursday evening, guess what I saw ?
I saw F-15 flying towards Paya Lebar Airbase...
It was in landing stance....
Test flying in session , is it?
most likely F15T.....its some sorta F15E upgrade arh....RSAF probably doing some evaluation....Originally posted by Black Aces:F-15s (I presume the C version?) in Singapore's air space? It must be some annual RSAF-USAF air exercise.
I remembered the time when I was pursuing my Pre-U studies in OI, all the warplanes have to overfly directly over our heads (guess the flight path to landing passes directly overhead). Still can visualise the time when the RAAF F/A-18s overflew, and all the guys at the basket court just need to lift our head upand see all the details underneath the fuslage. And given that the Hornets are carrier-designed aircraft, the slow speed approach is pretty impressive!
If any of you are from OI, you will understand what I meant.![]()
i seeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeOriginally posted by cheeze:The F15s you are seeing this few weeks are F15A/Bs frm the US. Some exercise going on, not evaulation.
The KC135 look alike with the engine on the fin is a KC-10 Extender used by the USAF.
I believe you are looking a thte KC-10. It has a engine on the tail. Total 3 engines. A airborne tanker a/c. probably supporting the USAF detachment or staging through PLAB.Originally posted by ah_kwang:there was once i saw rafale flying out of PLAB... my house invery near PLAB... I think what is meant there is that Israel will produce the AN/APG-68(V)9 radar for Singapore. Not America. So, likely to be in the same style as our C/D class Vipers eh.Israeli EW suite..Originally posted by Cosmic_Rain:Note: This sales notification is for Transmittal No. DDTC 077-04 and is entered in the database under Israel, Greece, Singapore, Chile, Oman and Poland) The transaction contained in the attached certification involves the export of techncial data, defense services and hardware to Israel for the production of An/APG-68(V)9 radar antenna LRU, tranmitter LRU, antenna and transmitter subassemblies and test equipment for end-use in Israel, Greece, Singapore, Chile, Oman and Poland.
