Well, isn't it the logical choice to buy weapons from an asian country where the end users are not much bigger themselves (in physical built).
The skinnies in Somalia will definitely find it much easier to handle an Ultimax than an Minimi. Abu Sayaf and some Filippinos Muslim gurellias could also have bought some from the weapon traders. Croatia freedom fighters used them when they fought the Serbs. Even the US Navy Seals at one point had the Ultimax.
As for the SAR-80 and SAR88, only limited numbers were sold. Basically, they were local and export failures. The SAR80 fair just a bit better than SAR88 from what I read. But really, they are pathetic!
But if you are at war, you will grab whatever weapons you can that works rite. Beggers can't be choosers.
Anyway, I think there are some potential sales for the SAR-21. However, it will have to pit against Tevor21 and some similar bullpup designs. I think at least one of the US Law enforcement agency was reportedly evaluating SAR-21 some time ago. True or not, I don't know. -
