Carl Gustav 84mm Recoiless Rifle
Actually it is not really recoiless weapon, there is some recoil but the shock is really powerful.
If you are commander/trainer/first,second gunner doesn't matter as long as you are trained on the gun you are part of the loosely knit family.
It takes a lot to be a gunner other than the hunk of steel that's part of your combat load that you need to be able to carry over long distances, you also need that special ingredient and that is your character and we all know how we got ourselves "volunteered" for this vocation heh! heh!
I vonder if it is also the same way other people are "volunteered" for this weapon in other armies elsewhere in the world hmm ...
anyway pls come in, dun bother with the shoes, have a cigarette and share with us your story and experiences but no nd to mention which unit you from. -

Then there is HEAT high explosive anti-tank, best to fire with but one of the most expensive rounds to fire with.
Also Illum, TPT(training practice round) and 9mm/7.62mm subcalibre(not displayed)
Ony ever trained on TPT, HE and HEAT
9mm/7.62 mostly for confidence shoot or indoor simulation training. -

after so many years carrying the gun I think second gunner still the best. Peace time training canister always empty. Go brunei for trng use it as fullpack to store groundsheet, 1.25ltr coca cola bottles and titbits, mainland training use it as stool or armchair, 84gun can ony use as "spring" headrest.
But so far I think the malaysian 84 gunners the most good life leow. During a bilateral exercise with them 10yrs ago in negri sembilan they rode 2 gun pairs in unimog vehicles all the way during ex while we walked. -
