Singapore owns tank before malaysia even have a armour division?
malaysia din know singapore owns tanks until the 1969 national day parade?

our Amx-13s come from both India and Isreal..tt y some are slightly different..

still..........now then i know why Mr Lee got the guts to suggest invading johor during 1969........i would assume an army with out armour would not be able to stand a assualt with heavy armour backing.....i readed that we then purchased V200 armoured vehicles....so would some kind soul post a pic of it? and i din know the AMX we are presently using is considered an antique.....we must had done so much upgrade to it...........

err, nismo, you heard of the 1969 may 13th chinese culling in the whole of malayisa right? well, the malaysian goverment finally stoped it as they have heard VERY DEPENDABLE rumours that Mr lee suggest that SAF fully invade the state of johor(johor, not JB only)....after calling all the chinese in malaysia to fall down to the state of johor, then SAF will invade the state, and arm the chinese there to let them defend themselve as the main drive in a fight is survival. yeah, heard this from my old man and alot of people who are alive and knows what politics is at that time.....i was surprise too

The racial riot - which you termed erroneously as 'Chinese Culling' - had occurred mainly in Kuala Lumpur, and other smaller towns in Peninsular Malaysia.
It all started as a misunderstanding, and almost after the heated Malaysian election campaigns of 1969 - that were highly charged up by the racist rhetoric of some Malay 'ULTRA' Politicians; and made volatile when it seems that the carcass of a pig was found at a mosque.
Rumours spread, distortions of rumours worsen the situation, and inaccurate interpretations spread from the Malaysian capital to the smaller towns.
A small incident between individuals became a fight between communities, resulting in injuries and murders being committed.
More importantly, it also happened in Singapore, as the rumours spread from across the Causeway.
Will you call it 'Chinese Culling' in Singapore too ?
It is ridiculous to even talk about getting all Malaysian Chinese to gather in the State of Johor, and for the SAF to move in to protect all ethnic Chinese in Peninsular Malaysia.
The various units of the SAF, including the Amoured Brigades, will be deployed when there is any CLEAR, DIRECT and IMMINENT threat to the SURVIVAL and INDEPENDENCE of Singapore.
It is unlikely that the SAF will be used as a force to intervene in the internal affairs of another country. -
ha, well my friend, what you said now is true to the present singapore. but think of singapore lead by the then super gung ho Mr lee, and that then singapore PR's are yelling their head of. lastly, i heard this from my dad who had to fire shots to prevent malays then to loot his home then(thou only warning shots from one of our hunting rifles). you must think of it as 1969, not 2004. true, right now a plan like this would be absurb, but for then, it is not.

lol, btw i used culling because i can't find another riot, now i would say it is a racial riots the chinese are at a serious disadvantage. oh, one more thing, yeah, i too heard that the chinese in singapore too took revenge by attacking and looting malays.....in way way they are "culling" malays too! lol........
