I saw the Thunderbolt turret being porposed on the extended BIONIX chassis (as used in the PRIMUS SPG)at the UDLP stand in Singapore during AA2004.
I predicted in AA2002 that we would see a BIONIX light tank with 7 road-wheel stations. We saw the PRIMUS, a 7 roadwheel station chassis and this....which makes me kinda pleased.

Did anyone see/heard the same the thing from UDLP stand in the AA2004?
Well, if they did display something with a stetched Bionix chasis with a M8 turret. That means that ST was and maybe is still working with UDLP on a new light tank., otherwise they would not have display it. As the Chinese saying "No wind will not have waves".Originally posted by |-|05|:Yep i saw it too....but i would not put to much into it yet....since they did display a picture and stats of the M8 and the USArmy booth had the RAH-66 which was cancelled liao...so yea

previously heard they have been trying to integrate various 120mm turrets on light chasis without good success for sometime.Originally posted by |-|05|:could simply be a concept model that the company did to entice ST loh...not too sure but it sure as hell was on display
It was a 3d model...not an actual model.....Originally posted by paulho:previously heard they have been trying to integrate various 120mm turrets on light chasis without good success for sometime.
This is indeed good news. M8 turret on a bionix, wow! fire on the move capability leow.
Does this mean the 21 round autoloader originally used on M8 will be integrated together on the bionix as well?

By recongnising Israel is Singapore not afraid of offending Muslim countries? May be Muslim countries might make things difficult for Singapore?Originally posted by SingaporeMacross:Nope an Israeli is not allowed to enter Malaysia. Immigration regulations say so.
I believe there was a mass rally in the 80's to protest against israeli PM visit to singapore. Occasionally now and then there are outburst.Originally posted by want to know:By recongnising Israel is Singapore not afraid of offending Muslim countries? That's I believe that was after the PLO and Israeli govt have signed the peace agreement, I dun think they will do it now.Originally posted by paulho:I believe there was a mass rally in the 80's to protest against israeli PM visit to singapore. Occasionally now and then there are outburst.
Indonesia on other hand previously had some military dealings with israeli but now with new government there not so sure.
Interesting to note just before the economic crisis, israel experienced "cordial" ties with malaysia. There was at least some effort to organise cricket matches.
