  not all reserve units are under the "xxxxxxxx xxxxxx" recall code.....
  
  that is why not all units were recalled back then....
  
  obviously this automatically implied that there must be other recall codes that are as big as xxxxxxxx xxxxxx...

  U know it never occurred to me that mobilisation codenames had a particular meaning till I read thru this thread... "xxxxxxxx xxxxxx"... made much sense. This is very interesting! I see my unit's codenames in a new light now.

  Publicly, the people came from "HQ Commandos". "SOF" didn't "exist" in those days.
  

  Like I said, back in the early 1990's, we were instructed to stick to the official "company of regulars in 1 Commando" story. Also, in the battalion itself, we had to book out in civilian clothing, and if we were involved in any official visits to the camp where press were to be present, we had to wear camouflage paint.

  attention is actually something i dun like in real life so i wont be seeking it here, as for the "running away" u are talking about, well if ppl dun not agreed to my point and started getting crappy and personal do u think there a need to reply?? and like i have said earlier ppl have they rights to post their views, and diff ppl have diff views. i dun have a habit of cornering ppl just to prove i am right, i can take no as an answer no problem with that at all..just ignore it and move on.

  C'mon guys, your Mob Codes ,particularly the higher level ones are restricted military information and may give pointers to information about your units. Please don't bandy them about in a public forum to show everyone how much/little you know.

  u claim to be from a classified unit. if u are from a classified unit, ARE u even supposed to tell people u are from a classified unit? information as small and as inconsequencial as this can be useful to the enemy, who, with enough small pieces, is more than able to build up a big picture. so if u think we are just targetting you, please think again.
