kilo coy is actually a very very small part of tekong... bmtc actually occupies only the most southern portion...but kilo is at it extreme eastern part of bmtc. Becos we are getting conflicting reports, CNA said it was the south of the island whereas CH5 and U CH said is the north of the island.

unless the 3 stooges land right in bmtc...there's no way any recruit could have seen them.. well...unless they're out training and they get "contacted"
the "reclaimed land" is a good spot for landing though..its fairly deep in singapore waters which explains why the msian coast guard couldn't chase them... and tekong is the only huge enough land form for these robbers to seek refuge... -

oh man, just heard the news as i was with my fren just now and there is no news stand near by........so, the robbers or terrorist(whatever it is, they are dumb) are in tekong now ah? and is it confirm that ALL recruits got long weekend? wah.....then tml meet my fren can get dramatic report liao........haha, hey, so can anyone reveal that this time round are the search party arm with weapons that have FULL clips? or still standard 3 rounds? and WHO is really involve? Last I heard from my nephew, all the Rec are told to stay in their bunk, no bookout.
If I am rec there now, it will the best time in their BMT other than the parents visit day.
As the matter of fact, all Rec will hope it will last for another one more day till Saturday. -

well i think the SOF would rather not have the spotlight but since the reporters from CNA has already announced it, yes...the SOF is in.. howeveer...for all you war mongers out there, i think the whole saga would end in the amicable surrender of the 3 terrified souls... can you imagine, they'd prob have NO idea who's after them...

i guess the SAF should use this incident to review the security of BMTC tekong. never know if some terrorist would sneak in and plant bombs like what they did in spain.

Imagine we sent so many of our manpower there to hunt them there leaving other places on mainland Singapore less guarded. This is an opportunity for terrorists to strike. -

We cant really underestimate them though...if they are terrorists that is.If they had planned this to test our security level on our most 'heavily secured' island, then it is a really successful mission for them.
But if they are mere robbers, they really srew up their escape route big time. -

I think they should review their security system again to prevent this from happening .
First line of defence is to make sure no terrorist or weapons or explosive ever sneak into SG otherwise like right now , playing police & thief !!!!!

Heck, how do we know that these lamers are the ones who robbed the shop and businessman? For all we know, these guys might be terrorists and are waiting for tons of soldiers to come aboard the island before igniting their homemade explosives, causing mass casualities! [Yes I know, I'm being a bit dramatic here.]
Secondly, we only have the Malaysian government's word that these robbers escaped to Tekong. For all we know, they might have misleaded us with the wrong information.

speaking of coast guards patrolling off Tekong... few months back went to BMTC for friend's POP. Can see the coast of tekong, but no PCG craft at all.. -
quite disappointed to hear tt the amigos r stil at large this morning... wonder if they haf sneaked off into the nite...
btw they said they secured the southern part of the island. wonder how they did it?
