A new wife?

  Im serving my reservist as a recce trooper (BRC).
  Recently, I wet back for a mobilisation and heard from
  some guys that we would no longer be using our standard
  rife, carbine. I heard that the new rifle we'll be using is of
  Russian origin and cooler still.. comes with a silencer of
  sorts. How true was it, I dnt know.. cos we didnt get to
  draw our arms that day.
  
  Has anyone heard about this? Fille me in k.

  I kinda doubt it though...SAF, like any other military, tends to standardized infantry smallarms for its services with the exception of spec ops units. A Russian silenced carbine? Hmmm...
  
  Maybe its an experimental SAR-21 with suppressor? Wow...that'd be cool!!

  seems like skeptics are all ard me huh?
  bt ya la.. I found it a little un-believable myself
  by hey, i'll be in for ICT end of the yr and ROC
  next yr.. so i'll keep u guys posted?

  The Gurkhas use a host of firearms -- both long and short which some are not usually use in the normal SAF. And I have a lot of respect for them.
