VIctory Class MCV

With the arrival of the Formidable(Delta) class frigates, the MCVs will be handling most of their responsibilities to these frigates. What I've heard is that the MCVs will be going for a MLU and a Litorial wafare capabillity will be added. What do you guys hope to see in this upgrade if it ever materialises? Or should RSN go for new ships like the 81m OPV designed by ST?

What else, they will simply add the new Typhoon 25mm gun (plus Mistral/Igla combo) at the aft, and possibly more soft kill aids, such as long range chaff, torpedo decoy systems or even a hull mounted mine detection sonar...
The MCVs are suited for Littorial wafare instead of open sea as they are not very stable in high sea state due to the huge mast. However, their speed and agility to manoevur in relatively shallow waters make them excellent Littorial warefare vessels.
I think the a fleet of ST Marine 81m OPV makes good supplement to the Formidable. However, I would think that some improvment to the structure design for higher degree of stealth and greater weapon load should be done on the OPV (eg. don't see VLS on the vessels - should be armed with at least 16 to 32 Baraks, and possibly a locally designed CIWS).
but then again, these are just my guesses, personal opinions and speculations...

What is "Litorial wafare capabillit"???
When I look at the model of the OPV during the AA2004, there are "cut-outs" on the decks showing that it will be armed with VL weapons. -
Its the ability to fight well in coastal/straits scenarios like for example, lower Indian Ocean ops, or patrols in the South China Sea , and the Malacca Straits.
Come to think of it, as we see this Navy becoming more and more of a bluewater navy, what do you think are the chances of our Navy ever being sucked into a firefight around the Spratlys? -

Remember the three trainable launchers on the Delta frigates? I had read an article a few days back. The article mentioned that these are EDAS NGDS decoy system lauchers. Also heard of a CIWS may be mounted in place of these launchers.
