  That tomcat was lucky he didn break that right undercarriage system with this kinda touch down. Can tell that the whole weight and momentem of the F-14 was leaning heavily on it.

  That is why naval aircraft undercarriages aircraft are built stronger than their land-based counterparts. Such landings are commonplace on a carrier, imagine trying to do a perfect landing with both wheels on a deck thats constantly pitching up and down. Just when you thought you've lined up perfect, a sudden swell catches the CVN and bam!

  except it would be better if the peeps are out of focus

  Well, though carrier landings are better described as a controlled crash. I'd still think that the landing was pretty rough. Then again, the pilot could have been struggling with rough seas as well as heavy crosswinds. I wasn't there so I guess it could have been other factors than the pilot.
