  dlte,wat u mean when u sae e MP5 is history?Its still in use what,right?And to be frank,have u handled the MP-5 before?Its realli light-weight,has a robust feel and is very well balanced.And many in SpecOps coommunity swear by it.

  There is more reason why MP-5 is used by SWAT teams all over the world besides its accuracy....
  
  P-90 can be fired with 1 arm...dats good for drivers and becos of its squarish and compact design, it can be placed in between the driver seat and the door and/or in the 'map and torch' compartment of the door itself ! ever thought of that ?! the design of P90 also allows the driver to use the window of the car to support the base of P90 to get a more stable shot....got alot more lah but dun wanna say too much....wait ganna 'kup' siah...ha

  that are new guns to replace the MP5. One of them is the UMP.
  And yes I shoot them. There is also a MP5 lookalike but bigger
  chamber the 5.56 known as the HK53. This is also MP5 in 10mm.
  
  Guns is just part of it... youmust also consider the ammo.

  Heard of both.Seen the MP5 in 10mm,called MP10 if i not mistaken.UMP wise?Nv see e real thing...I have no complains bout e P90,except for the turn-table thngy...Recoil-wise,sumone wif experiece,pls share.

  It's called the MP5/10....there is also the MP5/40 which come with a 40 cal bullet.
  The UMP comes with a 45 cal, a 40 cal and a 9mm version

  the P90 is actually one of my favourite weapons... almost wanted to find a way to bring in the airsoft version of it once... but had friends in police and singapore post who advised me against it
  
  but seriously... the mechanism to rotate the rounds seems a little questionable...
  
  anybody got any info on that? does it make the weapon less reliable?

  It did jam pretty often when it 1st came out...not sure about now

  i also wanted to bring in the airsoft p90.. but darn cannot... now checks EXTREMELY stringent

  haha... i like it for 2 reasons:
  
  1) i like well designed weapons
  
  2) i watch Stargate SG1 religiously... and they use the P90 in that show
  
  i almost bought a replica of a zat-gun online once... but i worked out the exchange rate and i was like... so...

  Well, the MP5 has poor range, its round starts to dip after 50m. Essentially the PDW are expected to maintain Effective Range of 150-200m. The P90 and MP7 have thus superceded the MP5 in this area. Generally, the SpecOps Community are moving towards Punching Rounds as their Nasties are getting better equipped with Body Armour and such.
  
  Then again, the 4.6 used by the MP7 is almost like a needle-point. One wonders if you might require more than 1 round to Stop a Nasty.
  
  You might have the round flying through a Nasty without having inflicted crucial collateral damage as a result of tumbling and 'shrooming...
