Does anyone have any comments about the article in ST about Singapore being a 'fortress'?
Singapore is often mentioned in the same breath as 'pre-emptive strategy', 'fortress mentality'.. Do you agree?
Do you think that we spend less on our defence?

For defence expenditure, it's usual that defence observers take note of the percentage of the annual budget which is allocated to Defence or the percentage of GDP/GNP taken up by Defence. Check your nearest government website for the Annual Budget Reports. This should be in the public domain. You can check out other countries' defence budgets to compare.
