NSMEN Queries Regarding Charge.

Scenario: You have not received your SAF100 for ICT,while apparently most of your buddies have got the letter But not all.There are some who like you have'nt got the letter.
So you don't do anything about it.
Question:Can they Charge you for not turning up for ICT?Assuming that I was due to.But remember,I never recieved the SAF 100.

Call up to check.
I think there's this postal rule: Once delivered considered received, even though you really didn't get anything. -

Have you moved? Or your current address is not mailing address?
Usually, if SAF100 is not replied, a registered mail will be sent. They will be even deliever to your door step, ask who ever is in your household to sign on behalf of you. So in the end, you lan lan will received one. Unless you become untraceable.
Sometimes unit will recall some back for a small low-key stuff which does not involve the whole NS unit. This may explain your current situation. If you want, you can call up because sometimes the OIC incharge can "garbra" and cockup forget some personnel. -

Happened in my unit, 7 days DB my friend, so dun play play, called back to confirm, and remember make sure you get the rank & name from the fella if the answer is negative. You noe the army , lots of admin cockup. -
As have been mentioned by the other members here, they will mail the SAF100 to you, then if you don't respond by x number of days, they will send it via registered mail, and if you still don't respond by x number of days, they will personally deliver one. So unless you did not notify MINDEF of an address change, or become untraceable, its quite unlikely that an SAF100 will not reach you.
At my last ICT, my S1 was not too pleased that a large number of us did not respond to the first SAF 100, and most only reposnded after the registered mail and some only after the unit had to send a personal courier!

Well, for this current workyear..there appears to be some problems with the Mindef side cos a lot of my friends from NUS didnt receive the ICT letter also and were given a choice to go back or not because mindef discovered the error too late...So if you didnt receive the letter..call them to check.

I have never moved house.This is not supposed to be my first call up.I've been called up before,that's why I know abt the acknowledgement letter.But the case now is that I have 0 SAF100's to begin with,no registered mails and No telephone calls.
So what could be the problem? -

If it is a admin problem, it is not your problem, unless you want to.

Let's me describe what happen to the guy that have been charged, he has shifted but did not informed Mindef( this itself is already a offence),so therefore all the SAF100 was sent to his former address.
During the commander phase, he was found missing and MP was sent to locate him, eventually he was found and joined the main body for training.
At the end of the ICT, he was formally charged 7 days DB for the exact amount of days that he has missed for the commander phase of ICT!!!!
AWOL for IPPTand I think mob exe, first timer , $50 fine, 2nd timer $100, third timer DB.
But for ICT , I think, it depend on the CO and Bde, DB is quite likely.
