The 105mm is not a state secret... nor did he mention that it was...Originally posted by damienthedevil:it is a hush - hush matter.. Please do not probe anymore...
Why don't you check facts before classifying every info as state secret. The 105mm LG gun information has been around for such a long time - Its french built by GIAT and used by the guards unit.

For info sake', all that is in Huxley's book is outdated by now.Originally posted by wd1:hey even if it was secret it's not secret anymore-- its in tim huxley for all to see. i'm sure someone can give more details without getting called up by MSD... right?
Originally posted by LAW1:I believe these light 105mm guns are for 21st Division. For RDF, under 21Div, I got a feeling it had are some at least 3 Guards regiments, 1 armoured regiment and some other Combat Engineer units for clearing sea obstacles.... I hope I have not leaked any state secrets...
Hmmm.. Perhaps some corrections, the guns that are used for the 21-guns salute are the 25-pounder cermonial guns. Cheers...Originally posted by foga:classified infor.for ur eyes only
the actual deployment for the 105mm light guns are for the 21-gun salute during the annual national day parade.

For christ's sakes, when you don't want the world to know about your uber-powerful top-secret weapon, you DO NOT exhibit it at a defence expo.Originally posted by Slee981:It is a hush - hush matter.. Please do not probe anymore...
The 25-pdrs were 88s to match the Germans' own, although answering too late in the warOriginally posted by Johnston:You mean the German 88s, now don't you?
Mortar will not be able to replace the 105 gun as it is short range.Originally posted by Fairyland:I tot these 105mms have been retired and replaced by 120mm mortars instead?
Anyone know if the LWSPH is using the FH gun or the M777 one?
Maybe it's hush hush because of patents issues?
Well, the 105mm LG1s are still being exhibited for visitors.Originally posted by Fairyland:I tot these 105mms have been retired and replaced by 120mm mortars instead?

Wait a minute......Originally posted by seachfun:Mortar will not be able to replace the 105 gun as it is short range.
Gun is for Div support & 120 mm Mortar is for Bridage level.
FH & M71 can not be LWSPH. M71 not the M71S already weight 9T do not talk about the FH series.
