Japan have developed miniature robots dat can move well... It will only be a matter of time when U see LARGE mechs & mobile suits... But I wonder, where to get all da raw material? How fast can da hydraulics go? how hard is da main "skeleton" supporting all da weight for such huge machines? where get all da fundings?Originally posted by Saint Valentinian:Ive always wondered why no one has thought of designing a mobile suit, something like a Mech/Gundam style robot, operated by a person inside. Maybe seems far fetched now, but i think it would offer more mobilty and flexiblity. Haha..personally liked the Design of the Mecha in the Matrix Revolutions, with mounted Dual machine guns and all.
Just a thought~! *
Mechs in da Battlemechs run on da main engine of "nuclear" power... how to do dat...? Mobile suits too run on dat... in fact every limbs in da mobile suits have mini engines for fastr movements... so expensive...Originally posted by ditzy:Why no mechs and mechwarriors, seems not too far away?![]()
Resident evil?Originally posted by Fairyland:Why not bio-engineered and massively clone a stealthy Siberian Tiger with an Mastiff?
Developed simulators with hunter killer training programs for these animals. Make them grow up with blood thirsty mindless hatred for all living things except SAF personnel with proper electronic tags.
Very easy to get power rangers... get a leotard & a helmet, a belt & plastic sword can liao...as for da megazord, get boxes...Originally posted by ditzy:Why no mask? Why no voltron? Why no power rangers? Why? Why? Why?![]()

If you read the Mechwarrior universe in detail, not all the mechs ran on nuclear engines. The 1st generation mechs ran on diesel engines manufactured by nissan, ford and GM, just to name a few.Originally posted by Bontakun:Mechs in da Battlemechs run on da main engine of "nuclear" power... how to do dat...? you'd be surprised that all the suggestions you've made are already ongoing research programsOriginally posted by Accela:Just a random thought, most of the mecha we are talking involves humanoid form, why not combine abit of normal vehicle designs and insects or animals body structure? Rather than making perfect turns or human sensitive movements, it should be easier to sacrifice complexity for speed yet retain some advantages over normal machines, like ability to "jump" over objects and as fast as a racing car, for example based on a spider, should be more balanced and stable than a human with 2 legs. Or using a camera as eyes and be able to be controlled by remote, etc.
too big.....the smallest nuclear plant at present is too big...nuclear batteries might be an option but they are dangerous. Some of the mechwarriors used normal gas engines but they dint really last long...sucked up too much gas....Originally posted by Parka:![]()
