Which is the most LOBO camp/unit as a clerk?

The most lagi lobo camp, is NCC, bloody hell I went there to help train NCC for a few days, super easy to train as the teachers were there will help make file rank, march, send them to eat... all I did was just lecture on weaponary. I looked at the NS guy posted there, asked him what does he do when there are no NCC cadets to train, he said he and his PC seldom books into camp! Btw, NCC training is only a few times in a year! I was scratching my head, did they even serve NS like that?
Looked quite run down, compared to some other places...
NCC is definetly one of the all time slackest camps.
Decorated nicely, with some of the best facilities i've seen.
All to cheat the poor students....
but! It's one of the dream assignments.
Where else can you get NCC cadets (female) looking up to you? -
Any unit can be the LOBOest unit, as long as you can get along with your superiors.
Take me for example, i was in a headquarters, holding the nominal post of Despatch Clerk.
Everyday is book in, 1st parade, ask my mdm got any thing to go out or not.
if yes, wait for carpool. Bring along discman and book.
Sleep in the minibus.....
Get there, deliver the stuff, stop to see the new enlistees, eat, smoke, and look at the nice DXOs.
On special despatch days, slack off waiting for the driver, go out blasting the radio, reach the place, waste time.
In between, im going for early breaks, smoke as and when i like, use the I-net regularly.
When serving duty clerks, bring a whole lotta stuff to watch and read. Chat with the officer, order takeaway, while time away by calling other units and asking them WTF is happening?
The formation chief smiles when he sees me, and he greets me cheerfully. (He does that to every one, but he remembers my name).
And my promotion was done in a most wonderful way. I wrangled it by asking higher authority myself.
How did i get all of this? It's terribly easy.

Yup I was in ARTC way back when it was planted in the god forsaken AngMo Quee Camp. I kana Head Log office in 1990 and left in 1991. What about you? Are you the same batch as me.
Yah lah ... there's a majority of clerks and lobos who has it easy throughout their whole life. And I really admire the direct intakes too (i.e. join NS wearing CV clothing in AMQ camp from 1st day as clerk)
I remember I even had 2 assistants to help me. 1 was a confess case and the other was a freko case where from driver (he failed his driver course some more) he got posted to store man (and the QM hated him) and then got posted to my office. Yah lah ... those 2, can delegate lah ... but you'll worry more after that. So end up me doing 80% of the work still, and the other 2 taking turns going to the photo copier zapping things and stapling and doing simple despatch for me. Those 2 had it easy ... but not me.
From an office clerk, I even from time to time kana exercise controller because my officers had to go field training. Sigh ... really like waiter in field and had to camp in field some more ... really feel short changed.
But I made a few close friends who are still in contact with me until now. I can still foundly remember:
- 10am - 10.30am Canteen to eat Kong Guan Char Siew Pau and watch people play arcade machines. I really have to hand it to those that can play a game with just 20cents from start to finish
- 12noon - 1pm Siesta. Never go cook house (rememner the 10am snack) and tuang to auditorium (I was in charge of the room and had the key), turn on the air con and koon
these are the only 2 major activities that our 'gang' must do every day ... kind of miss it. -

Well have you ever heard of Police Inspector post for National Service?
That one is stressful but, hey you get to spend your NS time in orchard road, get to bio girls all day(its your job someone has to do it), chase ah bengs down...
watsmore you get to wear CV all day, no need for book in/out, no need to stay in, you stay at your home, come out in the day, roam orchard road for trouble, thats it!
