ATEC OPFOR, ATEC AGGRESSOR COY.

Any one here has or have "cross fire" with the 1st patch of the SAF No.1 public enemy. (We were called the OPFOR and for some reasons, we change to AGGRESSOR.) Meaning those who gone through ATEC in 1996, 1997 and 1998, both local and oversea.
[/img] I am the PS. for PL2 back than. Like to hear for men, SGT, LT, OC anyone what do you think of the ATEC EX back than and now, and what did you learn from it.
I heard enemy today no more running away but stay there till they are overrun?

Look like it a bad experience for all those take part in the end 1996 to end 1997 ATEC Ex huh. maybe all of you think if the real thing comes all will be going to die rite. jus enemy play (enemies that run and counter attack) in Ex and the Bn higher Comd.dun seem to know what to do sometime if not all the time
ATEC is to look at the skill of ppl like you doing in the field (tot not so much point in it) and the planning of so call higher Comd. and it is for you(man) to look at what type of Comd (you section leader, Pl Comd) you have with you cause you will be fighting next to him if the buttom is press. Vise Versa for the sect Comd and PL Comd. Good luck to you guys.

for those going for ATEC in the coming years, active or in NS, worst are coming, ppl in here told me ADF going to take over the role as AGG. Good luck to all doing ATEC in the coming years.

Did my ATEC during ICT around 97' or 98'. It was a long time ago - but I remember seeing two of their 3 tonners driving into a ditch after our ATEC exercise - it was raining and conditions were muddy, quite a funny scene actually.
We had a 2A grade - and was watched over by a certain foreign advisor as well. Quite an experience, since we were reservists going against full-time NS guys.
Nothing really special about the aggressor company to me - just another unit playing "enemy". My unit used play enemy to a number of infantry units during my NS days, this was before the SAF formed a fulltime aggressor company. Playing enemy is a good thing - we get to see mistakes made by other units, and learn from it. re: formed lated because of one reason, where do they go into the res? back than army no not the army but mindef not ready for them in the res. yet.
a role where ppl know the name but not sure what they are doing that why? -
ATEC now in 2-stage. Stage 1 carried 30% on soldiers core skills and drills. Stage 2 will be the same ATEC EX.
In 2002 ATEC had done once, a 2 week ATEC for my Bde on one of the NS Bn unit. As a Bde support HUMINT group,my coy was in it as well.
Week one Company evalution and week 2 Bn evaluation, ie Coy-line done 2 Ex in all.

Those good memories in ATEC, wearing tigerstripes ,we delayed 'enemy' advancement to our objective. Many scouts got silenced, but some battlalion fought very well. remember ???
Now cannot play enemy already...lah. Now doing pathfinder job.....walked long distance looking for LS... dropzone..bla.blah.

Yeah... good to meet pioneer batch of aggressors here. Our 1st ex OC is now LTC aleady huh ? I dun know this forum exists dude.
The best mission was our last atec exercise. Really gilat. Heard now opfor coy no need to go guards conversion, is it ?
