personally, i feel that other than those going for peace keeping mission, conflict which upgrade to the scale of war between country there will be no more ROE to talk or follow. Agreed?
Sad to say, when last year I went back for the CSM couse and had seen SISPEC having "games" on the topic ROE where the trainee and trainer dun seem to be serious but laughing away on how funny it is during the 'confrontation' with the so call "enemy"
For war or anti terrorist, this topic should not be a game of fun for the trainee at all, what are they trying to tell, it just a game? -

roe depends on the mission and situation.

If they are positively identified as "non-friendly." And carrying weapons in a hostile manner... (not back slinged), then shoot first ask questions later.

SISPEC is now a joke... how can you let recently passed out sergeants to be instructors who have 3-6 months more experience than the trainees? Most SISPEC instructors are regulars and in my opinion should be sent to to their sect com tour in unit. some instructors dont even knowhow to topo....

if this daily school activities cannot be done correctly by the instructors themself, field training, I wonder how when they never not even once being in the stressful, time pressing situations?
Better still in BN, the PS no longer made up of regulars, even the PL has one, that PS do not go through the full section leader tour of 2 years.
Next the CSM, b4 1 end his 6 years contracts, the BN will has him as CSM who oni has 1 year tour as Section Leader, 1 year tour as PS, 1 year staff tour and 1 year instructional tour.
What to do? we going for 3G mah, all the Game Boy will win the war end of the day. I personally think that the army really forget the importance of seasoned, senior NCO's.
