Call of Duty. Best.Damn.WW2.Game.Ever.Originally posted by Jazzswing:Which is the most realistic game you ever played?![]()
This is the most psychologically intensive military simulation because it throws in the entire spectrum of possibilities of military engagements that can be encountered by individual soldiers working together with others in a small-unit, with direct and indirect consequences of action from other small units.Originally posted by deathscythe99:x3....
AGREED. In fact the greatest strength of the game was how they overcame the AI limitations. If each AI soldier acted on their own, they would be more than easy to take out by a human player. BUT because they moved together as a squad, and executed their squad movements, they became a fierce fighting platform.Originally posted by panzerjager:This is the most psychologically intensive military simulation because it throws in the entire spectrum of possibilities of military engagements that can be encountered by individual soldiers working together with others in a small-unit, with direct and indirect consequences of action from other small units.
The usually robotic AI of bots posing as enemy is actually fluidly authentic with respect to the real-life tactics of the intended enemy portrayed in the game.
The mission duration is rendered in real-time, so even though the gamer is physically relaxed in his/her PC chair, the mental stress of meeting mission objectives is always nagging him to stay on finish it, in real-time. Noting some who come out of accomplishing missions totally drained by the extent of immersion into the game itself, especially in campaign mode
dude you have that?! the russian front that is....can lend?Originally posted by Si Geena:The Close Combat was a great series...
Liked "A Bridge Too Far" over the "Russian Front" for its more intensive feel of the operation.
It was always a great feeling to knock out a Tiger with one of the PIATs concealed in a building.

u have ar?? lend me lehOriginally posted by ferret69:The Russian Front was way too unbalanced for me. Once the tanks came on, it was almost impossible to get my infantry to get up close and everytime it seemd as if my anti-tank guns were way too exposed.
I preferred the Battle of the Bulge than either of the other two mentioned.
