This little leaflet....
Some questions:
It says PTP is 6 weeks... but I thought you all said 2 months? If really 6 weeks then the extra 2 weeks do what?
I studying Polytechnic, do I need to Defer? Will they sent me letter to inform me to Defer or do I have to automatic myself and how long do I have to Defer? -

You have to get a deferment notice authorised by ur poly from the admin and send it in to prove ur deferment due to full time studies. Good luck, study hard.Originally posted by Ayukat:This little leaflet....

Okay... What about PTP? Why the Leaflet say 6 weeks but it also says if Napfa get Sliver or Gold NS reduced 2 months? Hi Ayukat,
For PTP batch, their BMT is 16 weeks. PTP for the first six weeks, then the normal BMT.
PTP batch serve 2 months more than the enhanced BMT batch. It may seems quite confusing, but it isn't.
Let's say you are PTP batch. You POP on the same day as your enhanced batch friend. But your ORD date is later than them, by around 2 weeks. -
Okay... now to wait one more year then can register... Being December kia not bad ah.

After what registration? Poly? yeah. once u get the call up letter, bring the call up letter for ur poly admin see, then ur poly admin will give u deferment letter so u can send back. When MINDEF sends u a call-up letter asking you to enlist, bring the letter to your poly admin and request for a deferment notice. Send the deferment notice back to MINDEf as per instructions written within the call-up letter. I'm sure ur poly course has at least 1 more guy who is in the same situation as you, ask around and you will get the answers you seek, I gurantee.Originally posted by Ayukat:I mean when do I Defer? No, because my friend did it all online. I guess I'll worry about it later after all about 1 more year before they'll sent me my letter. STUDY! STUDY! STUDY! Oh and I checked the website already, just that its very unclear. It just says all Polytehnic Students are to enlist right after their studies and can apply for Defer if repeat. -

Dun worry. You may say this now but you will slack like anything a few months later.
You will receive your enlistment letter from mindef some months after your birthday and they will teach you how to defer. Jus go online and follow the steps. -

I agree with you that for more accurate information its always best for one individual to check with the source of issue example CPC.

. HOpe there is an understanding that sgforum is initially created for logical defence hardware/software related discussion. There are many people making use of this forum asking about the NS matters example, their pes status, the IPPT, etc and we welcome their involvement but as forum major in defence related topic, we emphasis more on informations regarding hardware/software
