so if u say apache will take out those tanks hiding in jungle..YOU are Wrong!

Ambushing from the side to the jungle is different from move it into the jungle. There is totally tell tale sign of movement, which that is what the satellites and recon planes are for, for a tank column to move in to the jungle there is just too many signs and tell tale tracks.
You are going to use a engineering company or a few at least to cut your way in. You are talking about trucks and engineering equipment like bulldozers. Don't tell me that you are going to use tanks to push through the jungle !!! 2 hrs of pushing, you will lost 1/2 of your tanks.

By the way, the Apache is to ensure they shoot up fuel storages, every tankers or trucks that is not hiding in the jungle ! So that even you have your tanks hiding in jungle, they can bloody rot there forever with no fuels, and trapped, behind the lines. -

Recon LSV? and UAV is impossible
that Recon LSV can't go thru jungle well..and if it goes thru most likely will die..
no armour..all these....can radio back to HQ but can't reach home cuz it has no armour..ur Recon may be in the form of land or air..definitely not AWAC..
and in land...definitely will be manned and be in ...the Recon LSV..
UAV will crash into the trees.. sure there might be tell tale signs if u spot from the top..
don't tell me the apache will shoot onto the "tell tale signs?"

As I've mentioned in my earlier post.
I think acquire of AGM84-SLAM or SLAM-ER is more feasible.
Expand the size of our submarine force. Maybe 8 to 10 new sub.
Armed the subs with encapsulated AGM84 SLAM or SLAM-ER harpoon missiles. Deploy and move them out into the sea in the time of crisis. IMHO that should makes a pretty good deterrent force.
Range for AGM84 SLAM-ER is about 250Km. -

1st you don't know how to deploy tanks, and you don't know how to deploy Sam.
Sam batteries consist of lots of things, radar unit, missile units and generators. Radar cannot be in middle of jungle, why, the trees total block it. Next sam missiles batteries cannot be in middle of jungle, need a lot of clearance for missile to take flight. Yep in middle of jungle plane cannot see you, don't forget the branches and leaves also prevent you from seening them, and cannot shoot missile as will hit branches.
So what if i destory the tankers ? Hello , that mean you don't have fuels !!! You think plane come, then you run to start up all you Sam batteries right !!! The sam is on now and then to wait, these use up fuels - same as tanks, you have to warm up now and then, not wait till action which is too late. Unless you are converting durain to fuel. You just totally have useless tanks and sams without fuel.
Go read your history, the Japanese use roads to move their tanks, they have combat engineer to open roads. If there is apache, the jap tanks be hit ? -

FYI we don't train our scouts to suicide. Think they are dumb that they will walk right into the enemy's face? They move in quietly and come out quietly.. They are on recon mission and not rescue mission for goodness sake.
U are more likely to walk right into a tree but not the UAV which will be flying above the trees.
IMHO i will not be sending my AH64 for recon mission. That's the job for scouts and UAVs.
As some of the guys had mentioned it is unlikely to hide a ABG in the jungle. Let say I'm the commander. And if I really have a good reason to suspect that there is a whole group of tanks hiding there. I would have call for artillery bombardment on the whole area before I advance my troops forward. A few hundreds cargo shells should be able to do the job. Don't worry about the AH64. I'll have better things for it to do.
There is no perfect weapon. The main thing is to use the right thing for the right job. U use spoon for rice but u can't say a knife is useless. Its good for ur steak right? But again a spoon will be useless if u are eating steak.

The higher u angle u point ur missiles..the more likely it will hit leaves rather den trees..
coz the higher u aim...there is less chances of it hitting the
branches
anyway the missile will just bash it way thru the foliage etc..
don't tell me the missile's warhead is so sensitive that it will explode upon hitting the branch..
you can UNarm the missile and arm it later on..
forget what movie was it..but it was a vietnam movie involving planes on a aircraft carrier..using a plane similar in shape like the a-6 instruder? not very sure -
