Hi all, may I know what is it gonna be like during the interview? How should I prepare myself for it? What question(s) to expect from the board?

Can't remember what they asked liao.. only know there's a few high ranking officers... more than 5 pair of eyes staring at you

Needless to say, it only takes a pair of eyes and ears and within minutes or so to find out if you are suitable enough to qualify for the "second round". This was what I heard. Tough huh... ???

Knowing some background of RSAF should be crucial

1.Why do you wanna join RSAF's pilot interview
2.What do you think is the qualities of character a pilot should possess
3.Why do you think we should choose you
4.How much pay do you want?
5.Do you think you can handle the stress? =X etc etc -

It's my ambition and interest that motivated me to apply for the pilot post. So I cannot don't be bothered about it...

my opinion, it was pretty fun with that many interviewer. actually, only one or two do the talking. the rest seems to be observing. there was this ladysitting by the side, just looking. ought to be a 'shrink'.

must be those kind sibei gung ho but able to follow instruction..split second decision...
anyway i guess ur are a JC-student bah...cuz poly students bo chance at all.. -
I disagree with what you what said about poly graduates having little or no chance to be pilots in RSAF. I have came across pilots from polys and some of them have diplomas in business studies, nothing to do at all with the flying profession.

2) if there is 1 thing u wanna change in the army, wat would it be...?
3) do u know wat r the duties of the pilot...?
4) how much do u know abt the rsaf...?

Have you guys gone for the interview?
I think the interview is not a very intimidating affair.
Most probrably it will be chaired by a COL, most prob Commander FTS.
They just want to assess your personality and all, just like a job interview.
I wouldn't worry too much about it.
I took mine 4 yrs ago. All they asked were, why do you want to join? So you look forward to the training? How are your parents attitude towards you joining, are they supportive. etc etc..
Just strike a conversation. Sound confident, body language important.
And please please don't smoke your way through a question. If don't know just say don't know. heh -

When do they actually notify you to go the tests ? CPSS ?
btw i'm 6/6 eyesight, PES A if it matters..
i'm due to grad in Nov this year though..
any help would be appreciated

oh god, hope the RSAF have seen your post in the RSN expansion thread.
anyway not true that poly grads don't have chance. i met an f16 pilot from 143 that grad from singapore poly with a business diploma. the SAF is realising that more and more academically capable guys are going to poly instead of JC. for example, my class in aeronautical engineering are mostly single pointers, in other words having the o level L1R5(not4) below ten points. and trust me, they're all freaking freaking smart. -
So there are more than ONE interview? Hmmm....what about medical checkup? I heard it's 'difficult' but I don't understand why/how. Please enlighten me. Thanks!

cos i guess if the doctor feels there are something wrong with your balls, maybe they won't allow you to fly? i got mine...boy was it weird.
