  hi,
  
  Juz received a letter saying that I have been posted to 702 guard unit. During my NSF, my vocation is Infantry Specialist. I am wondering, do I need to go for guard conversion course during my reservist?

  dun think need lah... ICT usually too short for the whole course lah...... unless it's a chop chop course to convert ur whole BN lor...

  IMHO Have to formally convert - meaning: attend, & pass, a course - otherwise how to wear the Guards Tab?

  Usually its a must to go through Guards convertion course but I've heard of units, esp NS units, being designated as Guards unit but their SOP is still infantry supporting Guards.

  then why call the NS unit a Guards unit? Since the whole unit dun go thru the Guards Conversion Course, dun they should remain as an NS Infantry unit?
