And what happens if the Isthmus of Kra get "Cutted"? you pay lah.... and IF the kra canal did come into reality... the biggest loser wont be singapore... malaysia will be the biggest loser! singapore and huge numbers of foreign investors will move all their factories from johor, melaka, penang, perak, selangor and KL to southern thailand to take advantage of the lower cost of production and cheap labour there plus easy access to global shippings. singapore will be relatively insulated since much of our industries are highly capital intensive and technologically demanding stuff... no doubt we will suffer too... but comparatively... we will loose a finger to thailand... while malaysia would be left with one arm. we will probably be forced to fire the thoudsands upon thoudsands of malaysians currently working in singapore to save jobs for singaporeans... while adding to the skyrocketing unemployment of malaysia... high unemployment + 1 million illegal indonesian workers (now out of jobs) are the perfect catalyst for crime... crime rates will shoot skyhigh... while tourism will drop like a rock! and the vicious deflation will kill malaysia far faster then any nuclear bomb ever can.... and we do see much potential in the kra canal... so much so... we actually offered to foot the bill.... i mean.. hey! once kra canal is completed.. our malaysian neighbours would be weakened drastically... and goes into long term recession!! while their northern neighbour... once poor would become rich and military even more powerful!!. poor malaysia would become so weakened... singapore and thailand can take turn kicking them around like a football...
