Dear sir, as what i said, our nuclear arsenal will only be possible when our neighbours act insensitively. I think although going nuclear is insensitive in our part, it is the only logical way for securing a deterrent.Originally posted by Obersturmfuhrer:I fail to see your point. What makes you think our purchases were not insensitive from their point of view? So if we do go nuclear, what makes you think they won't? How does it feel to have someone point a WMD at your face or is total annihilation out of your calculations?
Malaysia had been involve in that energy research for years, it is nothing new and there are no indication that they are going to produce Nuclear weapons mainly because of technological, financial and political reasons.Originally posted by SibeiSuayKia:Malaysia Institude of Nuclear Technology!

Hehe i bo lie to you all
Malaysia has BEEN involved in nuclear technology research if you all
DON'T know .
Time to start forming Singapore Institude for Nuclear Technology soon!
i will go there and study

PM Mahathir's Speech at International Nuclear Conference
Singaporean attitude always like that , believe we are better etc etc..
Haiz now u all den realise malaysia is VERY advanced on nuclear technology.
Why is everybody so paranoid about the ASTROS? What's a few missles as compared to a few hundred artillery guns? They should be the one that's concerned at this imbalance to which they have every right to try and remedy.Originally posted by foxtrout8:Dear sir, as what i said, our nuclear arsenal will only be possible when our neighbours act insensitively. If they have 50 Astros2 and subsequently go nuclear, i dun see a major difference because the effect of 50 Astros2 is the same as the effect of 1 nuclear weapon to Singapore, however for an additional point of view, that one nuclear missile is much easier to down rather than 50 Astros2.
I think the reason why they want to suggest war is the same reason why they wanna make a big woo-ha over the water, pendra blanca and our reclaimed lands.Originally posted by SibeiSuayKia:How you know?
Did you remember what their defense minister told us when during the water problem?
"Singapore got TWO choices, Either *********** or go to war."
i believe u all heard before.
What makes you think that they can anyhow say stuff without having backup?
they clearly know that their military is behind you in terms of technology.
UNLESS they had special "bullets" thats why they can make such a statement

They should be the one that's concerned at this imbalance to which they have every right to try and remedy.Their current strength of 18 Astros2 ,++ as option is understandable, however as i had said many times, the reason why we must go nuke is when they overwhemmed us with conventional weapons that Singapore cant match symmetrically.
Plus to go nuclear without a legitimate reason is amounting to being a rogue state. It will only be legit reason if we give them the excuse they need, just like India did for Pakistan and that incident almost brought about a nuclear war.[/b]
His 2 dimensional reasonings don't make any sense at all in the first place. He probably thinks of himself as a prodigy who only knows how to defeat Artificial Intelligence.Originally posted by paperchicken:Doing research and building nuclear weapons is different. It wont be illegitimate to go nuclear if our neighbours overwhem us insensitively with their strengths, tilting the balance to our big disadvantage in the future. Under that circumstance, it is them who gave us no alternative......[/b]
I know of the NPT long ago, thanks.Originally posted by Obersturmfuhrer:I think the following and quash your nuclear "dream"
Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty [NPT]
The Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons, also referred to as the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT), obligates the five acknowledged nuclear-weapon states (the United States, Russian Federation, United Kingdom, France, and China) not to transfer nuclear weapons, other nuclear explosive devices, or their technology to any non-nuclear-weapon state. Non-nuclear-weapon States Parties undertake not to acquire or produce nuclear weapons or nuclear explosive devices. They are required also to accept safeguards to detect diversions of nuclear materials from peaceful activities, such as power generation, to the production of nuclear weapons or other nuclear explosive devices.
The NPT is the most widely accepted arms control agreement. As of early 2000 a total of 187 states were Parties to the NPT. Cuba, Israel, India, and Pakistan were the only states that were not members of the NPT.
Astros is a rocket system, it is not a missile. Typically a battery has 6 launchers and one fire control vehicle. Knock out the FC vehicle then the rest can only display fire works.Originally posted by Obersturmfuhrer:Why is everybody so paranoid about the ASTROS? I'm joining you. I should have realised I was trying to tell a stone to roll over. Must be my failing eyesight.Originally posted by esesce:You guys can go on entertaining this paranoid & childish boy. Enough is enough for me. The mere sighting of his name is enough to make me retch.![]()
No, i am not his supporter. Im just trying to forward the idea that in the future Singapore cannot match our neighbours symmetrically and we have to resort to other means to match their capability, not in support of his words.Originally posted by Obersturmfuhrer:It seems his wild ideas have also gained a supporter, or was he brainwashed by the incessant baseless arguments.
If north korea and iran can get it so easily..Why not?Originally posted by paperchicken:Malaysia has no immediate threat why would it want to built a bomb to incur the warth of USA ? Where is it going to get the raw material and where is it going to test the bomb?![]()

Brother, in the sake of national survival, treaties doesnt stand much at all as seen in history. Look at Israel with her nuclear weapons, America with her NMD dream, Russia infringing treaties before the end of cold war for the sake of national survival.Originally posted by Obersturmfuhrer:It seems his wild ideas have also gained a supporter, or was he brainwashed by the incessant baseless arguments. You may know of the existence of the NPT but you dun seem to grasp its implecations.
If north korea and iran can get it so easily..Why not?North Korea and Iran didnt get the technology easily. They spent years on developement, money on collaboration and alot of political stabbing.
You don't need accuracy when aiming at singapore, just aim anywhere and u hit a place already.Whats your point?
I believe mahathir has said before , "if a missile were to hit sG , most likely will have casualties , but if hit m'sia most likely is not effective"
Thought iraq using Scuds not ASTROS?
