Question for those whom signed on Engineering specialists

  As the link above lah.I need to know after u guys go to bmt is it go straight to o.e.t.i then get technical lessons there?then during the period of training is it stay in or out?Coz i heard o.e.t.i beri slack but dunnoe whether isit stay in or out during a trainee?

  you sign on, be prepared to do duty whether you are a spec or officer.

  Nah i dun want the allowance.just asking wether is it realli must be posted out for at yeast a yr if i signed on and if they post mi out can say no?

  You will be schedule to go Ordnance Engineering Training Insitution (OETI) to undergo courses for whichever engineering vocation that you've sign up. Its a stay-out course, begin with a first parade in the morning to check attendance etc and end with last parade in the evening. Wether able to stayout or not after you have completed your course, its denpends on which unit you are posted to. Most of the time you will be staying in unless you are married personnel.
  
  About your oversea posting... You have sign and agree during the contract signing... something like... You will have to attend courses/training/attachment wether local or oversea.

  I would say half of all Engg.Specs are stay out.
