haha! who here was unlucky enuff to be under Col Sukh? One hell of a tough bastard but nonetheless respectable as hell!! Anyone heard stories abt how he used to go outfield and dig his own shell scrape when he was a Bde Comd? This may surprise you, but he's VERY hands on.... i was working on this project with him and we were SEVERE manpower issues and was cursing and swearing my ass off when i saw him (he was an LTC back then) moving the tables and chairs himself!! Frm that moment on, i shut up and went back to my work.
Another memorable one....we were planning an event as SAFTI and i raised the issue of an umbrella party in case it rained. And this event involved pretty much all the top leadership in the Army Svc (COA, SSSO Chiefs, BGs, COLs, LTC, the lot!!) and so of course i was shitting bricks and hoping it would not rain. His response? "UMBRELLA PARTY?!?! What kind of F**** message we sending out here? Are we Army Personnel or gu niang? A little rain never killed anybody and if anything, reminds those a**h**** of what we are supposed to be)" And it wasn't him trying to talk big, cos he repeated his message to my boss who was a COL as well. POWER LAH!!!!
